FIRST ANNUAL “CINCO de OGDEN”

TO BE HELD AT MAHONEY’S PUB & GRILLE

FREE Concert Featuring Smoking Popes and El Guapo – Trip for Two to Mexico – “Mahoney’s Crossroads Cantina” Outdoor Patio to Officially Open

(CHICAGO) – On Friday, May 2, the first annual “Cinco de Ogden” won’t be just hot, it’ll be Smoking, as Chicago’s own SMOKING POPES and EL GUAPO perform Live at Mahoney’s Pub & Grille for a FREE show, kicking off Cinco de Mayo weekend.  Mahoney’s is staking its claim as “The Only Place You Need To Be” this outdoor patio season, with the opening of the new “Mahoney’s Crossroads Cantina” outdoor area, coinciding with “Cinco de Ogden”. 

“Cinco de Ogden” begins outside on the Crossroads Cantina patio, where patrons can try something from the all new summer menu.  Then at 7:30pm, Q101 [WKQX-FM] co-host of The Morning Fix, Jim Lynam, will be onsite at Mahoney’s for the evenings activities which include On-Air call-ins and the Dos Equis “Most Interesting Man” contest.  Most importantly, Jim Lynam will be giving away a trip for two to Mexico, courtesy of Dos Equis beer and Q101!

“Cinco de Ogden” is a FREE event, for patrons 21 and over.  $4 Dos Equis bottles will be featured.  The event begins at 7pm.  The band El Guapo takes the stage at 7:30pm, and Smoking Popes goes on at approximately 9pm.

Mahoney’s Pub & Grille is located at 551 N Ogden in the River West neighborhood of Chicago. The pub features a full menu with entrées and appetizers, as well as one of Chicago’s largest outdoor patios with seating for over 70 people, Nintendo Wii gaming, RockBand games, beer-pong and other activities.
